If you are searching for an LGBTQ+ wedding photographer in Seattle, you are probably not just looking at portfolios. You are reading between the lines, checking whether the galleries only ever show one bride and one groom, and working out whether you will have to explain yourselves before you can talk about anything else.
You will not have to do that here.
I am Eugenia, and I run Evaro Studios, a small photography team in Seattle. We shoot weddings, surprise proposals, and events across the city and the Pacific Northwest. Two grooms, two brides, one of each, neither of the above. It changes nothing about how we work.
What affirming actually means in practice
The word gets used a lot and explained almost never. Here is what it means on our end.
We do not assume anything on the inquiry form. Nobody gets asked for the bride's name.
We do not force a template onto your day. A lot of wedding photography is built around a fixed sequence: two getting-ready rooms, a first look, a bouquet toss. If that is your day, great. If your day has two people getting ready together, or no aisle, or both of you walking in with your parents, we shoot the day you are actually having.
We ask what you want to be called, once, and then we use it. Names, pronouns, titles. Wives, husbands, partners, spouses. You tell us and it is settled.
Your gallery is yours. If you would rather we did not post your photos publicly, tell us in writing and we will not. That is in our contract, not just a promise. Not everyone is out to everyone, and that is not a conversation you should have to have twice.
How we shoot
Documentary, mostly. We stay out of the way and photograph what is happening, then pull you aside for a short set of portraits once the pressure is off.
The reason is simple. Posed photos age badly and they look like everyone else's. The pictures people keep on the wall twenty years later are almost always the unguarded ones: somebody's mother crying at the back, the two of you laughing at something nobody else heard, a hand on a shoulder during the toasts. We are not going to spend your reception building a shot list. We are going to spend it watching.
Where we shoot
Seattle and the whole Pacific Northwest. In the city we work a lot in Discovery Park, the Arboretum, Kerry Park, Gas Works, and along the waterfront. Outside it, we travel to the San Juans, Whidbey, the Cascades, and the farm venues out toward Carnation and Snoqualmie. If your venue is further out, ask. Travel is quoted honestly and agreed in advance, never added afterwards.
Wedding pricing, in public, where it belongs
Most photographers in this market hide their pricing behind an inquiry form. We think that wastes your time and ours, so here is the whole ladder. Ceremony, 2 hours, from $1,000. Intimate, 4 hours, from $1,800. Essentials, 6 hours or more, from $2,800. Story, our most booked collection, 6 hours or more, from $4,200. Legacy, 6 hours or more, from $4,800.
Every collection includes a full edited gallery, print rights, and online delivery. Story adds a second photographer and a highlight film. Legacy adds a handcrafted album on top of that. If you want to build your own, a second photographer is $800, a highlight film is $1,200, and an album is $900. A 40% retainer holds your date and the balance is due 30 days before the wedding.
Eloping or having something small? Ceremony and Intimate exist for exactly that. A four hour intimate wedding at $1,800 with one photographer is a real product, not a consolation prize, and it is what a lot of couples actually want.
Questions we get asked
Have you actually photographed same-sex weddings? Yes. Ask on the call and we will show you full galleries, not a curated handful of images.
We are not having a traditional ceremony. Is that a problem? No. Tell us the shape of your day and we will plan around it.
Can you do video too? Yes, in house. A highlight film is $1,200 added to any collection, and it is shot by our own team rather than subcontracted to a stranger.
What if a vendor at our wedding is weird about us? It has happened. We handle it quietly and we keep shooting. You should not have to manage that on your wedding day.
How far in advance should we book? Summer and early autumn Saturdays in Seattle go 9 to 14 months out. If your date is inside six months, still ask, because we hold a few.
