HERE IS HOW THE DAY GOES

Step 1

SHE IS GOING TO SAY YES

That part is handled. Relax and enjoy it.

Step 2

TAKE EVERYTHING SLOW

Slower than feels natural. I am shooting photo and video at the same time, and slow is what makes both look beautiful. Rushing is the only thing that hurts these photos.

Step 3

STAND WHERE I PUT YOU

I will place you slightly off to the side so the view sits right behind the two of you. One small step makes a big difference here, so just follow my lead before you start.

AND AFTER SHE SAYS YES

Step 4

ON ONE KNEE, STAY DOWN

Do not rush to get back up. I shoot wide first, to get you, her, and the whole view in one frame. Then I move in close for her face, right as she realizes what is happening. Wait until you see me come closer, then take your time and get up.

Step 5

THE FIRST TEN MINUTES ARE YOURS

No phone calls, no posting, nothing. Just be with each other and let it sink in. There will be a basket with champagne and glasses waiting nearby, so grab it and celebrate. Pop it, spray it, or have a quiet toast. I will be shooting the whole time.

Step 6

THEN WE TAKE PHOTOS

Once the emotions settle, I will guide you for about 30 to 40 minutes. Nothing stiff and no posing. I give you simple directions, keep you moving, and it stays easy the whole way through.
